Amanda always loved caring for people and wanted to make a difference in people’s lives, and nursing allows her to do just that. As she advanced in her career, she decided to make an even greater impact and provide exceptional patient care. Amanda’s favorite part of being a nurse practitioner is her patients. She loves learning about them and from them. Every patient brings something new, and Amanda loves interacting with them and their families.
When caring for patients, Amanda believes that looking at the whole picture and listening to their needs and what matters to them are key to quality care. She loves women’s health and strives to provide the best care to obstetrics and gynecology populations. As a nurse practitioner, Amanda wants every person to feel empowered to make their own medical decisions and feel comfortable with those decisions. What brings her the most professional satisfaction is making a difference in her patients’ lives and continuing to advance her knowledge and skills.
Amanda grew up in Latham, NY, and is a graduate of Shaker High School. She’s married and has two daughters who keep her on her toes. In her not-so-free time, she enjoys baking, making her own vanilla, listening to audiobooks, and caring for her unexpected flock of chickens.
