Dr. Alexandra Burke is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology from The American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Burke received her medical degree from Albany Medical College in Albany, NY, and went on to complete her obstetrics and gynecology residency at Albany Medical Center. Dr. Burke earned a Bachelor of Science in biology from Siena College, and she is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Burke always loved science, particularly biology. During college, she worked at a local hospital as a patient care associate. She saw how a career in medicine could fulfill her academic interest and her desire to help others. The field of obstetrics and gynecology is unique, with a mix of surgery and primary care, which is why Dr. Burke chose to specialize in this area of medicine.
What Dr. Burke loves most about her job is having continuity and developing relationships with her patients. She takes care of women throughout their lives and has the privilege of being present for some of their most significant milestones. When caring for patients, Dr. Burke believes providing information and education to empower women to make healthy lifestyle choices is most important.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Burke enjoys spending time with family and friends, especially during summers on Lake George. She also loves to bake and cook.
